Editorial policy
- We say who publishes this, on every page.
- Advertisements are labelled, including the publisher's own. Sponsored editorial says who paid and the sponsor doesn't approve the copy.
- Owners and shops are quoted from recorded conversations. Nothing is invented and nothing is composite unless it says so.
- Corrections run in the next issue and on the article itself, not buried.
- Faces and licence plates appear with the owner's permission.
AI policy
- Photographs are photographs. When an image is generated, it is marked in the contents and on the page — and the piece it belongs to says so before you finish reading it.
- We keep the prompts, dates and tools for every generated image so the answer to “is this real?” is always one folder away.
- Drafting tools may help with structure and copy-editing. Every published sentence is read, checked and signed off by the editor.
- No fictional bylines outside a piece that is labelled as fiction.
